Summary Description:

Responsible to prepare, compute, manage, research, analyze accounting data to provide management with company financial information relating to performance, financial position, solvency, and cash flow.


    • Manage accounting operations based on accounting principles
    • Establish and maintain accounting policies and practices
    • Prepare an annual budget, summarize the financial status and prepare financial forecasts
    • Conduct monthly and annual closeout processes
    • Audit financial transactions, and prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by collecting information and entering in the accounting system
    • Secure financial information by completing database backups
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements including existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising of needed actions
    • Preserve company confidence and ensure all financial information is confidential
    • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with accepted accounting practices

Education / Training:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant Designation
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business Administration

Related Experience:

  • Five years’ experience post designation
  • Management experience in related field

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Excellence with accounting programs and software (QuickBooks and other)
  • Thorough knowledge of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accounting
  • Data entry skills and accuracy
  • Competent math skills and concepts

Work Conditions:

Primarily office based requires regular work in front of a PC, desk, or phone with heavy data entry into accounting and record keeping software
